How does the Fearless Cooking Club work?
What's the training format?
Each monthly module within the FCC will contain a series of video lessons that dive deeply into the cooking topic at hand. Attached to each monthly lesson are printable recipes and colorful cooking cheat sheets that make learning and using the material fun... and SO freaking easy.
What format are the cooking cheat sheets in?
Almost every lesson has a digital cooking cheat sheet attached. They're in PDF format and will work on any device. These cheat sheets are just as valuable as the videos. I put so much time and energy into developing the cooking charts, and early testers of the FCC have raved about them since day one.
Is the FCC a meal planning service?
No, the Fearless Cooking Club is not a meal planning service. It will teach you how to cook, and we do have meal planning lessons scheduled for the future.
How often is it updated with new material?
The FCC is updated with new lessons monthly. This includes new videos and new cooking cheat sheets. There will also be live broadcasts and webinars throughout the year, on specialty topics. The live community, of course, is 24-7.
Do I need Facebook to participate?
Thankfully, no, you don't need Facebook to participate in the Fearless Cooking Club. Our platform partner is a completely independent service. Once you log into the FCC network, you'll have access to the community and all trainings. There's even a native mobile app that works on smartphones and tablet! Yeah!!
What's this 24-7 cooking community? Can I really get help when I need it?
Yes! The FCC community is built into the same platform as the training videos, so you can access everything in one place. You can post questions any time of day. There's a whole community of people around to answer your questions, and Steph will be in the community several times a day to offer cooking support as well.
What if there's something I want to learn that's not in the FCC?
We've got all sorts of things planned for the FCC, including lessons on a ton of different cooking topics, but we're always open to suggestions for future trainings. If there's something you want to learn but it's not listed in the trainings, email support and let us know so we can add it to the list.
How does billing work?
There are two types of FCC plans: monthly and yearly. If you sign up for a monthly plan, your payment account will be automatically billed every 30 days. For yearly plans, your payment account will be automatically billed every year on the anniversary of your join date. You can cancel at any time by emailing support.
What payment methods do you accept?
Currently, the Fearless Cooking Club accepts credit card payments through direct credit or debit card billing on the Fearless Fresh Shop. We do not currently accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Payments, Venmo, or other third-party payment processors.
Do I need a credit card to pay?
Nope! If you do not have a credit card you can use a debit card that's linked to your checking account, as long as it has a Visa or Mastercard logo.
Is there a guarantee?
There's a 7-day risk-free money back guarantee. If for any reason you're not happy with the Fearless Cooking Club, just shoot us an email and we'll get you refunded.
Can I cancel my account at any time?
Sure! Monthly plans can be cancelled whenever you want by emailing support. If you cancel in the middle of the month, we cannot refund the unused portion of the month. Instead, your account will remain active until the end of the billing cycle, and will be cancelled before you are billed again. If you're on a yearly plan and cancel in the middle of the year, we cannot refund the unused portion of the year but you will not be billed again.
How do I get help with billing, etc?
Our support ninjas are standing by to help whenever you need it. Just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get you taken care of. Response time is two business days (or often much less).
What level of cook is the FCC designed for?
The Fearless Cooking Club is designed for all skill levels. If you're a beginner home cook, you'll find beginner lessons that will guide you every step of the way. If you're an intermediate or more experienced cook, lessons include advanced information that will help take your cooking to the next level. We will continue to build multiple tracks of trainings to accommodate people of different skill levels.
What if I'm not ready for the FCC?
You'll find support in the Fearless Cooking Club regardless of your skill level. If you'd like to wait to join the program, you can also hop into our free Facebook group, which is a thriving community (with no video trainings, cheat sheets, etc) and limited cooking support. You should also hop on the FCC waiting list so you'll be notified the next time the doors open. If you're looking for help right now, we also recommend you check out the Fearless Fresh Cooking Cheat Sheets, which are printed and laminated cooking charts that break cooking down into its easiest components.
Will the FCC accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets?
Yes! The Fearless Cooking Club accommodates all eating styles. Because the trainings are based on building skills and techniques, the vast majority of lessons are useful by literally anyone who cooks. While there are lessons within the FCC that are related to meat and animal products, not eating meat or animal products will in no way limit the value you get from the FCC overall. We're serious about respecting people's dietary choices — we've made sure printed resources that include both veg* and animal products are divided by diet type, or clearly marked to show which items are vegetarian and/or vegan.
I have food allergies. Can I still use the FCC?
The overwhelming majority of lessons within the Fearless Cooking Club are focused on technique and skill-building, making them allergy-friendly because they do not rely on any one ingredient. Any recipes or trainings that involve a potential food allergy can be easily substituted to suit your needs. Where appropriate, substitutes are noted within the lessons and recipes.
